Our Vision
Our vision is to prepare our students for management and leading specialist positions in the tourism industry, including field related sectors like politics and NGOs, using a unique and dynamic program taught in an international environment. Various didactic concepts, such as integrating existing local natural resources and acquainting students with the challenges of modern tourism while exploring creative solutions, are utilized. Our approach also focuses on equipping the students with the necessary attitudes and business skills so as to succeed in their future professional tasks.
Tourism in the 21st century
Tourism is a unique and rapidly changing industry due to developments in society, technique, and environment. In some developing countries it’s one of the fastest growing industries and is key to social and economic growth. The wonderful opportunity this growth provides is tempered however, by its limited sustainability practices and by the fact that in developed countries tourism is driven more by change than by growth. But all these challenges make tourism an exciting and dynamic field to be in. However mastering these rapid and constant adaptations in the technical, demographic, environmental, and social fields are vital to success.
The study program MSc BA Major Tourism is oriented towards these contemporary core challenges. Students gain an understanding of the strategic challenges facing the industry and go on to develop approaches that allow them to manage companies as well as ambitious projects successfully.
Aim of the masters program
The Masters course is designed not only for tourism bachelors but also for those students who are specialists in other fields like marketing, architecture, or politics, and wish to apply their knowledge to the branch of tourism.

All students are required to commence studies in possession of a laptop. If so desired, the IT department will configure the laptop for the student.
